The company’s terms of business allows us to require payment in full of the disbursements, and our fees for services provided, at least 24 hours in advance of the funeral. ln practice, we ask that 100% of the known disbursements and 50% of our professional fee at the time of paying the deposit, are paid as a deposit. The deposit is due at least 24 hours before the funeral is due to take place.
The final balance is due seven days after the date of the funeral. Payment can be made by BACS, cash or cheque. We do not offer any reduction in our fee for payment in full in advance of the funeral. We do not hold a credit licence that allows us to offer payment terms in advance of the funeral invoice becoming due.
ln the event our payment terms are not met and an amount remains outstanding 28 days from the date of the final account, the company will charge interest on the balance at a rate of 15% calculated at a daily basis from the date of the final account until payment, and compounded on the first day of each month.
Where an account is to be forwarded to a solicitor (or similar) for settlement, we will place a service charge of 10% on disbursements. This charge may be deducted if payment on our account is made within 28 days of the funeral.
